Bertrand Traore has stated that he is in the best form of his career, comparing it to the way he played under Guus Hiddink at Chelsea last season.
The Burkina Faso forward, who is on loan at the Dutch giants from the Premier League leaders, scored two goals in a 5-1 away win over NEC this past weekend.
He believes he is playing some of the best football of his career right now, comparing it to the purple patch he enjoyed with the Blues under the guidance of Guus Hiddink in the 2015/16 season.
"I am currently in the best form of my short career and I'm almost as good as under Guus Hiddink at Chelsea. Almost," Traore said, as quoted by Tribalfootball.
The African player also touched on the subject of being booed by Ajax fans two weeks ago.
"When you get to the top level, you have to accept that. So it goes with every top club. If at Chelsea you don't perform, the fans are also not happy.
"It gave me the signal what I had to do, I had to work even harder. I'm young and want to improve, so then I have to ask myself every game to go to the limit.
"I saw the reaction of the fans not as an insult, but as an incentive. I take it as it is."
