Media reports in Swaziland indicate that Mbabane Swallows players are set to miss this year’s edition of the COSAFA Castle Cup.
This speculation comes after the Birds' progress in the CAF Confederation Cup as they have reached the group stages of the competition.
With Swallows players forming a large chunk of the national team base, the national team is set to suffer when it comes to player availability.

New Sihlangu coach Pieter de Jongh predicted the situation when he announced his squad, omitting Swallows players as they continue with their African adventure.
The draw for the CAF Confederations Cup group stages will be conducted next Wednesday and the games will begin on May 12 and July 7.
Furthermore, the dates will clash with COSAFA Cup as it is scheduled for June 25 - July 9 in South Africa and the players could be excused from the regional showpiece.
“The decision on whether Swallows players will not be allowed to join Sihlangu will be taken by the FA executive in their meeting next week,” said Football Association (FA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe tells the Times of Swaziland website.
However, Swallows CEO, Sibusiso Manana said they will map a way forward with the FA on the matter.
“It is something that the team will discuss with the FA as the mother body and forge a way forward,” Manana said.
