Manchester United is the preferred destination for Serge Aurier, should the player opt to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the European summer.
The Sun reports that the Ivory Coast right-back has held initial talks with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho and has expressed a keen interest in moving to Old Trafford.
United have moved ahead of cross-town rivals Manchester City and Spanish giants Barcelona in the race to sign the Elephants defender.
Aurier is contracted to PSG until 2019, but has recently fallen out of favour and is no longer a certain starter for the Ligue 1 side, adding to the speculation linking him with a move away from Paris.
A French source revealed to The Sun:"Serge has been offered a new deal to stay with PSG, but he wants to move to England and his preference is Manchester United and Jose Mourinho.
"United are a big club and Serge is impressed and excited with the plans for the future, some big players will be at Old Trafford next season."
