Cape Town City will look to bounce back to winning form in the Absa Premiership when they host Free State Stars at Cape Town Stadium on 5 May 2017, kick-off at 20h00.

City suffered a first league loss in 2017 when they went down 1-0 away to Maritzburg United on May 1.

The Cape Town side has claimed 27 points from 13 home matches this season.

The Citizens are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 49 points from 26 matches.

Stars suffered a third loss in the space of four winless league matches when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Polokwane City on April 29.

The Free State side has claimed seven points from 13 away matches this season.

Ea Lla Koto are placed 14th on the Absa Premiership log with 23 points from 26 matches.

In head-to-head stats, City and Stars have met in just one previous top flight league match.

That encounter took place earlier this season, with Ea Lla Koto claiming a 1-0 home in in the Free State.
