Chippa United will look to end their poor run of form in the Absa Premiership when they host Ajax Cape Town at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on 6 May 2017, kick-off at 15h00.

Chippa have lost three successive league matches and gone 11 without a win in the league after they were beaten 2-1 at Orlando Pirates on April 29.

The Eastern Cape side has claimed 18 points from 13 home matches this season.

The Chilli Boys are placed 13th on the Absa Premiership log with 24 points from 26 matches.

Ajax Cape Town returned to winning form in the league with a 2-0 home victory over Platinum Stars on April 30.

The Cape Town side has claimed 11 points from 13 away matches this season.

The Urban Warriors are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 29 points from 26 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Chippa and Ajax have met in seven league matches since 2012/13.

The Urban Warriors have three wins compared to one for the Chilli Boys, while three matches have been drawn.

Chippa have an unbeaten home record in three home league matches against Ajax, recording one win and two draws.

When the teams met earlier this season, the Urban Warriors claimed a 1-0 home win in Cape Town.

Prince Nxumalo has scored a goal in each of the teams’ last three league meetings.
