Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola indicated that they had to give Crystal Palace star midfielder Wilfried Zaha special attention.

The Ivory Coast international played the entire match as City hammered Palace 5-0 in an English Premier League (EPL) match at home on Saturday.

Spanish tactician Guardiola explained that they needed to pay attention to Zaha because the tricky winger is a dangerous player.

“We had to pay attention to Wilfried Zaha today because of his pace and we dealt with that really well," Guardiola told club's official website.

“We have to remember that not so many weeks ago, Palace destroyed Arsenal so I know their qualities.

“To score five against this team is very good and it is an important result for the mini-league fight that we are in for places in the top four.”

The 24-year-old winger has made 33 league appearances for Palace in the current season - scoring six goals in the process.
