Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Aubameyang has disclosed what Christophe Galtier told him when he arrived at Saint-Etienne.
The French tactician coached Gabon captain Aubameyang at the French Ligue 1 club between 2011 and 2013, before he moved to German giants Dortmund.
"When I arrived at Saint-Etienne, Christophe Galtier asked one thing of me: get my shots on target,"
Aubameyang told Bundesliga.com.
"He told me to hit the target come what may, because the ball can go in because of a bad bounce, for example.
"Since that day, I have kept in mind the idea of trying my luck, but getting it on target."
Aubameyang had a successful stint with Saint-Etienne - netting 19 goals in 37 French Ligue 1 matches in his final season with the club.
The 27-year-old frontman has remarkably netted 28 goals in the German Bundesliga thus far this season and he's competing for the Golden Boot.
Aubameyang is the joint league top goalscorer with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski with two matches left.
