Baroka, Highlands set for crunch relegation battle

Baroka FC and Highlands Park will meet for a crunch Absa Premiership relegation battle at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 17 May 2017, kick-off at 19h30.

Baroka have gone five league matches without a win after they were beaten 3-2 at Golden Arrows on May 13.

The Limpopo side has claimed 11 points from 14 home matches this season.

Bakgaga are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with 24 points from 28 matches.

Highlands ended a six-match unbeaten streak by defeating Chippa United 1-0 at home on May 12.

The Tembisa-based side has claimed seven points from 14 away matches this season.

The Lions of the North are placed 14th on the Absa Premiership log with 25 points from 28 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Highlands have met in just one previous top flight league match.

That encounter took place earlier this season, with the Lions of the North claiming a 2-1 home win in Tembisa.

Baroka’s line-up from their 3-2 loss to Arrows: Dlamini, Mahashe, Kgoetyane, Shaku, Madubanya, Garcia, Munetsi, Ravhuhali, Letsoalo, Kgaswane, Matlakala.

Highlands’ line-up from their 1-0 win over Chippa: Heugh, Mvala, Sibande, Oluwafemi, Nlapho, Theron (Mbatha 60'), Ngalo, Moriri (S.Ledwaba 53'), Thabotha, Shalulile, Mbesuma (Koena 73').
