Following the expiry of his season-long loan at Royal Excel Mouscron, Egyptian star Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan has left the Belgian club.

KingFut reports that the 22-year-old Pharaohs player has returned to parent club Anderlecht after spending the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Mouscron.

Trezeguet racked up seven goals and five assists for the club in the Belgian Pro League.

Anderlecht are reportedly looking at selling the Egyptian player, alerting major Egyptian and Middle Eastern clubs, while English giants Liverpool have also been mentioned as a possible destination.

Trezeguet has also played for Cairo giants Al Ahly in his professional career and first rose to prominence by helping Egypt win the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2013.
