Guinea out to maintain Group A top spot

Guinea and Cameroon will meet in the 2017 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group A match at the Stade de Port-Gentil, in Pory-Gentil on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 16h30.

The Junior National Elephants are oozing with confidence after beating Gabon 5-1 in their opening group match on Sunday.

The win took Guinea to the top of Group A with three points. They are only ahead of second placed Ghana on goal for.

Fandje Toure, who scored a brace against the tournaments hosts Gabon, is the dangerman for the Junior National Elephants.

Meanwhile, Cameroon were hammered 4-0 by Ghana in their first group match on Sunday night.

As a result, the Junior Indomitable Lions are placed fourth on the Group A standings without a single point.

Cameroon will look to their star player, Moise Sakava Sangola, to inspire them to victory against Guinea.

Maguette N'Diaye, a Senegalese referee, will be in charge of the match between Guinea and Cameroon.
