Smouha and Recreativo do Libolo will be eyeing a positive boost when they lock horns in a 2017 CAF Confederations Cup clash at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria on Wednesday evening.

Kick-off in the Group C encounter is scheduled for 18h00 CAT.

Smouha, who are set to finish the current campaign outside the continental positions in the Egyptian League, lost their opening game of the campaign away to Zambian giants Zesco United. Jesse Were on target from 12 yards for the hosts in Ndola.

The Blue Wave brought an end to a seven game winless run by defeating Petrojet in the league this past Thursday, and they will be out to build on that momentum with victory on home soil.

Libolo left it late in their opening round win over Al-Hilal Al-Ubayyid in Calulo with Mamadou Diawara finding the back of the net five minutes into stoppage-time in what was a 1-0 win.

The Angolan side, though, in contrast saw their winning run ended in their last fixture with Onze Bravos coming up trumps in Moxico.

Mahamadou Keita of Mali will officiate the clash.
