Mamelodi Sundowns will welcome Esperance de Tunis in the 2017 CAF Champions League Group C match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday.

Kick-off is at 20h00 CAT.

The Brazilians beat DR Congo's AS Vita Club 3-1 in their previous group game in Kinshasa. Yannick Zakri, Anthony Laffor and Sibusiso Vilakazi netted for Sundowns.

The win sees the South African side placed at the top of the Group C log with four points. They are only ahead of second-placed Esperance on goal difference.

Sundowns, who are defending champions, will be hoping to record another victory in order to remain at the top of the group standings.

Meanwhile, Esperance were held to a goalless stalemate by Ethiopian giants Saint George in their previous group match in Addis Ababa.

The draw sees the Tunisian giants placed second on the Group C standings. They are two points above second-placed Saint George.

A victory over Sundowns, will take two-time Champions League winners to the top of group standings with three matches left.

Senegalese referee Maguette Ndiaye will be in charge of the encounter between Sundowns and Esperance in Pretoria.
