Black Leopards will enter the 2016/17 PSL Promotion Playoffs when they host Stellenbosch FC at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon, kick-off at 15h00 CAT.

The Playoffs got underway on Wednesday when Stellenbosch were held to a 2-2 draw by Baroka at Athlone Stadium.

Jarrod Moroole and David Booysen were on target for Sammy Troughton's charges, while Mxolisi Kunene and Nkosinathi Ndlovu netted for Bakgaga.

With the Cape side and Baroka locked on a point apiece, Leopards will view this match as a chance to take early control of the Playoff tournament.

Lidoda Duvha, led by coach Jean Francois Losciuto, will be hoping to finally progress through the Playoffs and return to the PSL, as they have finished second in two of the last three seasons.

“The play-offs is not [like] the league,” Belgian head coach Losciuto explained.

“It’s a first for me in South Africa. I think it’s very important for me to analyse the first game [against Stellenbosch].

“Everybody knows the situation of Black Leopards… I think we played three times in the play-offs. So, I hope the story changes with me.

“We will prepare for these play-offs and I hope we make it after the four games.”

Black Leopards and Stellenbosch faced each other twice in the National First Division season: the Cape side recorded a league ‘double’ by winning 3-2 in the Limpopo in October and 2-1 in the return game in Cape Town in March.
