CS Sfaxien will look to boost their quarterfinal hopes in the CAF Confederation Cup when they host Platinum Stars on Sunday night. The teams will meet for a Group B clash at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax, kick-off at 23h00 CAT.

The Tunisians are three-time champions of the competition, though their hopes were dealt a blow in the previous Matchday when they were beaten 2-1 in Algiers by MC Alger.

Following on from a narrow 1-0 home win over Mbabane Swallows to kick off the group stage, it hasn’t been the most convincing showing from CSS thus far.

The same can be said of their opponents, with Stars opening up their campaign with a respectable draw at home to MCA, only to follow that up with a calamitous 4-2 loss away to Swallows.

The defeat left Dikwena in last place on the standings with just one point and they really need a good showing in Sfax to revive their self confidence and boost their quarterfinal ambitions.

This match will be the first of a double-header between Sfaxien and Stars, with the return game in Rustenburg scheduled for June 21.

Sudanese referee Mahmood Ali Ismail will take charge of the match in Sfax. The other Group B clash between Mbabane Swallows and MCA will be played in Lobamba on Friday afternoon.
