South Africa international Ayanda Patosi has parted ways with Belgian club KSC Lokeren.
The 24-year-old midfielder returns home following his six-year stint with the Belgian First Division A outfit - having the joined them from African Soccer Development academy.
City chairman John Comitis says their latest signing shows their intentions following their impressive debut season in the top flight - winning the 2016 Telkom KnockOut Cup.
"I think this [Patosi’s signing] just shows our intentions,” Comitis was quoted on IOL.
"We want to keep up the tempo and we want to keep challenging," he continued.
“It says a lot about our brand that we are able to persuade a player to return from Europe and come to play for City.
“I’m really excited, and I’m looking forward to seeing Ayanda on the field with (Lebogang) Manyama, (Aubrey) Ngoma and (Lehlohonolo) Majoro.”
