In the wake of their Group B, CAF Confederation Cup 3-0 loss to Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien, Platinum Stars have parted ways with coach Cavin Johnson.
Johnson led Dikwena to a ninth finish in the 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign as well leading the Rustenburg-based side to the group stages of the CAF Confederation.
However, the club has since decided against renewing his contract which is due to expire at the end of this month.

According to a statement released by the club on Monday, the club will make an announcement regarding technical team and playing personnel changes.
“We can confirm that the club is not going to renew the contract of Mr Cavin Johnson for the 2017/18 season," said chairman Cliff Ramoroa.
“We would like to express sincere gratitude for all the hard work and efforts by Mr Johnson and the technical team. Mr Johnson did his best in terms of ensuring that the clubs reaches the levels that it is in.
“We would like to move to another level. We believe that a change of this nature would really bring someone who will take the club to another level.
“This is a contract not being renewed. It’s not a firing or anything. We will make announcements on further changes in both the technical team and playing personnel.
“We will be able to make an announcement concerning the new coach before the beginning of next season.”
Dikwena now sit at at the bottom of the group with one point, after two losses and one draw, their next match is against Sfaxien at home on June 20.
However, it remains unclear whether Johnson will be in charge of the match or his assistant, Willem Jackson.
