Zebras coach Radipotsane reinforces Botswana squad

Two Township Rollers defenders have been called up to the Botswana senior national team ahead of the 2017 COSAFA Cup.

The Zebras interim coach Oris Boyo Radipotsane has decided to call-up Rollers duo Simisane Mathumo and Thabo Leinanyane.

Anthony Gouws, who had a good season with Jwaneng Galaxy, was also called up by Radipotsane as the Zebras prepare for the regional tournament.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) released the following statement on their official website:

"Senior national team coach Oris Boyo Radipotsane has called up Simisane Mathumo ,Thabo Leinanyane and Anthony Gouws to be assessed for training ahead of the COSAFA Senior Challenge.

"Coach Boyo will name his final squad for the COSAFA Cup on Sunday. The boys trained with the team this morning.

"Simisane expressed excitement at the chance to be in camp and play and the prospect of playing for the Zebras," a statement read.

Botswana will take on Zambia in the quarter-final clash at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng, North West on the 1st of July 2017.
