Esperance look to complete double over Sundowns

Esperance de Tunis will face off with Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2017 CAF Champions League Group C match at the Stade Olympique de Rades on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 23h00 CAT.

The Blood and Gold stunned Sundowns 2-1 in their previous match which was played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria over two weeks ago.

Esperance are still undefeated in the group stage having played three matches. They have recorded two wins and one draw.

The win over Sundowns took the Tunisian giants to the top of Group C table with seven points. They are only two points above second-placed Saint George.

Taha Yassine Khenissi, who grabbed a brace against Sundowns, will be looking to continue his scoring form and help Esperance win at home in Rades.

Meanwhile, Sundowns' defeat to Esperance left the 2016 CAF Champions League winners placed third on the Group C table with four points.

The South African giants ave tasted defeat once in three group stage matches. The other two matches ended in a draw and a victory.

Sibusiso Vilakazi, who has scored in each of Sundowns' last two Group C matches, will be hoping to inspire the Brazilians to victory over Esperance.

Burundian referee Thierry Nkurunziza is the man, who will be in charge of the encounter between Esperance and Sundowns.
