Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is increasingly unlikely to move to the Premier League, with both Liverpool and Manchester City put off pursuing the Borussia Dortmund attacker.
The Panthers striker is one of the most sought-after attacking talents in Europe after scoring 31 Bundesliga goals for BVB in the 2016/17 season.
He was strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the French giants have decided not to pursue the transfer.
As a result, both Liverpool and City’s interested was sparked, with reports in the British media claiming that the Reds and manager Jurgen Klopp were prepared to spend €70-million to sign him.
However, The Times reported on Tuesday that Liverpool hold no interest in bringing Aubameyang to Anfield, with their attention currently focused on completing a move for Egyptian Mohamed Salah.
And the Daily Express has poured cold water on hopes of City signing the player, with manager Pep Guardiola focused on improving other areas of his squad.
