In the wake of their 2-0 CAF Champions League defeat at the hands of Wydad Casablanca, Al Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has lashed out at the referee.
El-Badry has blamed refereeing mistakes and defensive errors as the main reasons behind Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Moroccan giants.
Two second-half goals from striker Fabrice Ondama and substitute Walid El-Karti gave the Moroccans a vital three points.
The Reds now occupy the second spot with seven points behind Zanaco FC who lead Group D with 10 points from four matches.
"Wydad's first goal came after an obvious mistake by the referee while an error in arranging our defence line allowed for the second goal," said El-Badry.

"We deployed a defencive strategy in the first half and we missed a chance to secure a draw after the break.
"We still have two difficult matches and anything is possible now in our group."
Ahly will now meet Zanaco in Zambia on Friday, June 30 as they will hope to bounce back to winning ways.
