With Naby Keita strongly linked to a move away from German side RB Leipzig, the Guinean has revealed that he has ambitions of playing for one of Europe’s “very big clubs”.
The 22-year-old is one of the hottest properties in European football after his superb performances for RB Leipzig inspired their surprise second-place finish in the Bundesliga.
And he almost moved to the Premier League a year ago, with the player explaining that he was approached by major English clubs before agreeing a transfer to Leipzig from ‘sister’ club Red Bull Salzburg.
"Arsenal, Southampton, Manchester City and Liverpool, although I did not talk with the coach," Keita told Welt in regards to 2016’s transfer speculation.
Keita believes he has advanced his game in the last 12 months and aims to continue improving so that he can represent one of the heavyweights in the future.
"I hope, however, that I have the level in two, three years and could play for one of the very big clubs," he added.
"This includes Barcelona, but it also includes Real Madrid or Manchester City."
