Following Zamalek's 3-1 drubbing at the hands of CAPS United in the CAF Champions League on Sunday, reports reveal that coach Augusto Inacio has resigned.
However, the club's boss Mortada Mansour rubbished the reports, insisting the Portuguese coach remains in charge of the White Knights.
The Zimbabweans claimed the full three points through goals from Ronald Pfumbidzai and a brace courtesy of Brian Amidu.
On the other hand, Stanley Ohawuchi found a consolation goal for the 2016 CAF Champions League finalists in Harare.

Furthermore, Mansour criticised the players, saying Inacio's method and his formation have destroyed Zamalek.
"Inacio warned after the performance and results of the team declined, and asked the Portuguese coach to hire an Egyptian assistant," Mansour said.
"It is clear to the news of the dismissal of the man, is still awaiting the report of the head of the mission, and we did not take the decision to dismiss Inacio and not stick to it at the same time, the final decision will be after the match Ahli Tripoli.”
The result sees Zamalek going to the bottom of the group with five points and will now want to beat Libyan side, Al Ahli Tripoli at home on Friday July 7.
