Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on Italian Serie A giants AC Milan's wish-list during the Transfer Window.

The prolific centre forward had a brilliant 2016/17 season in the colours of German outfit Borussia Dortmund and he scooped the Bundesliga Golden Boot.

Milan's chief executive officer Marco Fassone has since revealed that they are targeting Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, Torino frontman Andre Belotti as well as Aubameyang.

"Many names have been mentioned of very strong strikers. We would like to have one from Belotti, Morata or Aubameyang," Fassone told Milan TV.

"We will see who our choice falls to, although there are also other names who are yet to be splashed on the front pages by the media.

"Clearly we are still thinking of doing something else in that position. We are keeping all the options open and we will definitely do something beautiful," he added.

"Fortunately we are in China now so we can hold discussions with the owners to understand what our resources are, because they are not unlimited.

"We must also reason with the coach, because the next two friendlies can give some technical indications to him and [director of sport] Massimiliano Mirabelli."

Aubameyang is a former Milan academy player having spent the 2007/08 campaign with the club's first team. He left the club for French side Saint-Etienne on a permanent deal in December, 2011.

The 28-year-old marksman, who is also the Gabon captain, remarkably hit the back of the net 31 times in 31 league starts for Dortmund last season

He has also been linked with French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and reigning English Premier League (EPL) champions Chelsea FC.
