South African giants Orlando Pirates have decided to recall Zimbabwe international Marshall Munetsi from his loan spell.
The 21-year-old central midfielder spent last season out on loan at Absa Premiership side Baroka FC.
Munetsi enjoyed regular game time at the Limpopo-based outfit - making 26 league appearances for the club - scoring twice in the process.
Pirates, who are based in Johannesburg, have since decided to recall the promising midfielder following his successful loan stint.
Morgan Mammila, the Baroka chief executive officer, confirmed the news on Sunday.
"Yes, it’s true, Munetsi went back to Pirates,” Mammila tells KickOff.com.
Munetsi is set to compete with the likes of Issa Sarr, Thamsanqa Sangweni and Oupa Manyisa in central midfield at Bucs.
Pirates will be hoping to clinch the 2017/18 Absa Premiership title after finishing the 2016/17 season trophless.
