Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he was subject to a big money offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, but with the new league season approaching, it seems ever more likely that the Gabon international will remain in Germany.
According to Sunday's edition of Die Welt, Aubameyang admitted that he had received a big money offer from China.
Dortmund, though, are confident that the speedster will not be sold with Aubameyang contracted to the club till 2020.
China's Tianjin Quanjin are said to be chasing Aubameyang's signature and the forward admits he is tempted by the money on offer in the Asian nation.
"Yes, I had an offer. But I think the Chinese were hard pressed to submit a bid to Borussia Dortmund," Aubameyang told Die Welt.
"I think the structures are still not as professional as in Europe. It is normal that you think about it, if so much money is offered," he said.
"I know that many people have said that you can not go to China, because the football (there) is a step back. But I think that anybody would think about it when he gets such an offer."
The Gabon international ended the 2016-17 season as the German Bundeliga's top scorer with 31 goals.
