Huddersfield Town's Benin international Steve Mounie has reflected on his official debut for his new English club after netting a brace on Saturday.
Huddersfield recorded a surprise 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace in their first 2017/18 English Premier League (EPL) match at the Selhurst Park.
"A start like this is amazing," Mounie was quoted on BBC.
The 22-year-old marksman joined the club from French Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC where he scored 14 goals in 35 league matches last season.
"We worked all day during pre-season, we worked hard and the coach gave a us a lot of advice," he added.
"The consequences of our work has shown. It is crazy, I will take a picture of the table."
"He missed his easy chance," joked Huddersfield boss David Wagner after the game.
"It was a great day for Steve Mounie; perfect if you come new into the Premier League."
Huddersfield's next league match is against fellow newly promoted side Newcastle United at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday.
