Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) giants AS Vita Club have agreed to send Botswana international Onkabetse Makgantai back to Orapa United.
United official Kabo William revealed that Vita had not fully met Mankgantai’s contractual obligations when speaking to Botswana publication, Mmegi.
As a result, the two clubs have since agreed that the player returns home after also struggling to cement his place in the Vita starting line-up.
“As Vita had not paid us all of the money we had agreed on when we sold the player, they have agreed that instead, we take him back,” William said.
“There are teams that are still keeping tabs on him abroad, but we feel he has lost a bit of match fitness during his time with Vita.
"And we want to keep him here so that he can regain his level of fitness before we release him," the United spokesperson added.
“He has just joined us, but he is still on the right shape physically since their league concluded just a month ago."
Makgantai left Botswana Premier League (BPL) side United for Vita after winning the 2016 COSAFA Cup Player of the Tournament accolade in Namibia.
