South African club Platinum Stars have purchased Botswana international Thabang Sesinyi's services from Jwaneng Galaxy.

This is according to Galaxy chairperson Njabulo Gilika, who confirmed the sale of Sesinyi to Stars to Botswana publication, Mmegi.

However, the Botswana Premier League (BPL) club boss could not disclose further details when speaking to the newspaper.

"We (Galaxy) decided to wait for them (Stars) to unveil him that side before we could announce it publicly this side," Gilika said.

"We would not disclose (transfer details); it is between us and Platinum (Stars),” the Galaxy club boss said.

“It is good for him as a player, for us as a team and for the country. Of course he will leave a gap in our team, but I believe we have capable players who can fill it."

Sesinyi was one of the most outstanding players for Galaxy as they clinched the 2016/17 Mascom Top 8 Cup and the club also finished second in the BPL.

He has reunited with English tactician Peter Butler at Stars. Butler is a former Botswana senior national team head coach.
