Different season, same story, as Baroka FC and Orlando Pirates played to a 1-1 stalemate in an Absa Premiership clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The two sides have now played to three successive 1-1 draws with goals from Thabo Qalinge and Abdi Banda splitting the spoils between the two sides.
Pirates threatened early on through Thamsanqa Gabuza with the burly forward unable to replicate what he did over the weekend. His 24th minute header from a Innocent Maela cross well wide.
Qalinge would fare better with his head in the 41st minute as the midfielder nodded Mpho Makola's pin-point cross past the outstretched Virgil Vries.
Pirates 1-0 up at the break.
Bakgaga looked a better team following the interval, especially following the introduction of Siphelele Ntshangase in aftermath of his switch from Black Leopards.
The midfielder setting up Sipho Moeti after the hour mark, but the forward failed to convert as Wayne Sandilands made a good smothering save.
Baroka, though, would get their goal through Banda in the 73rd minute. The Sea Robbers set-piece frailties coming to light once more as the Tanzanian powered home from a corner-kick.
Thabiso Kutumela had a late chance to sink his former employers, but the Pirates forward could only guide his shot straight at Vries as the game ended all square.
