Brighton & Hove Albion’s move for Ghanaian striker Raphael Dwamena has fallen through after the player failed a medical.
According to The Sun, Brighton have pulled out of signing the Black Stars attacker after a heart problem was discovered during his medical assessment.
The Seagulls were due to pay FC Zurich £10million for the 21-year-old, but the deal has now been scrapped.
It is the second time Brighton have seen a big-money transfer collapse because of a failed medical in this window.
A move for Gent midfielder Renato Neto was scuppered at the 11th hour when the Brazilian was found to have a knee problem.
Dwamena will remain with Zurich and will look to help the Swiss club re-establish themselves in the top flight.
