Maritzburg United head coach Fadlu Davids is wary of the threat posed by SuperSport United ahead of their MTN8 second-leg semifinal clash in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday evening.
The Team of Choice play host to Matsatsantsa this weekend with the first-leg in Atteridgeville having ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Davids, though, is not getting carried away just yet knowing that a goal for the visitors will swing the tie right into their favour.
Advantage Maritzburg in battle of the Uniteds
"Yes we have an away goal, but we know that if SuperSport are to score that will really put us on the back foot," said Davids. "We know a 0-0 draw will take us through, but other than that we have to go out there and make sure we win.
"SuperSport's quality has to be respected," he concluded.
Moreover, club captain Denis Weidlich praised his troops togetherness. The KwaZulu-Natal side headed into the recent international break unbeaten, with two wins from their opening two games also propelling them to the top of the Absa Premiership standings.
"We are a team, we win or lose together. The technical team constantly remind us that we have to play as a unit and I think that has been helping us.
"We are not only playing football, but we are happy playing together and I think that has been a huge contribution to our good start," the German-born defender added.
