English club Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Kenyan international Victor Wanyama has sustained a knee injury.
The central midfielder missed Spurs' 3-0 victory over Everton FC in an English Premier League (EPL) encounter at the Goodison Park on Saturday.
Spurs released the following statement regarding their injured players:
A club statement read: "Erik Lamela (hips). Working outdoors and at an advanced stage of his rehabilitation.
"Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (foot). Has commenced outdoor training as he steps up his recovery from injury although will not be available this weekend.
"Danny Rose (knee). Rehabilitation continues in order to return to training in the coming weeks.
"Victor Wanyama (left knee). Likely to be out for a few weeks after sustaining injury in training prior to Burnley fixture."
Wanyama is likely to miss Spurs' UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and the EPL clash with Swansea City on Saturday.
The 26-year-old player has featured in two EPL matches this season and he's one of Spurs' key central midfielders.
