Ivory Coast star Jean-Michael Seri says he has ‘turned the lage’ after the disappointment of his failed transfer from Nice to Barcelona.
The Elephants man was strongly linked with a €40million move to the Camp Nou, but no deal was agreed and the 26-year-old has remained with the French Ligue 1 club.
Seri was disappointed at the time, but says he has now put it behind him and is ready to help Nice move to greater heights.
He told reporters after the stunning 4-0 victory over Monaco this past weekend: “I turned the page after August 31.
“When you do not go, you belong to a club and you have to give everything to them.
“Missing out on a transfer has not destabilised me.
“It was tough but victories like this are achieved because we are all strong mentally and have forgotten everything.
“We have started the season positively and we hope to enjoy a beautiful adventure in the days to come.”
