Despite opening their 2017/18 Egyptian Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Entag El-Harby, Zamalek boss Mortada Mansour has expressed his happiness at his side’s performance.
The stalemate marked the White Knights first game under the leadership of the new manager Nebojša Jovović, but Mansour has praised the Montenegrin coach and his side’s style of the play.

Entag’s Omar El-Saed opened the scoring around the 10-minute mark, before Congolese striker Kabongo Kasongo equalised for Zamalek in the 27th minute.
“I am really happy with the team’s performance despite the draw against Entag El-Harby,” Mansour told Youth and Sports Radio.
“This is the first game of the season, it’s inappropriate to criticise the players now. I liked our attacking style of play and the game plan of the manager.
“We have many new players who need more game time to adapt. The way we started the season is good.
“I evaluate the manager based on the team’s performance and the chances we create during the game, if the team fail to create chances then it means the manager is failing.
“The team with Nebojša created a lot of chances and with some luck we could have won the game.”
