Didier Drogba has jokingly suggested that Ivorian compatriot Serge Aurier chose a transfer to the wrong team.
Aurier sealed a big-money move to Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the transfer window last month.
And Drogba, who is a club legend at Spurs’ cross-town rivals Chelsea, says Aurier is delighted to be in the Premier League, but jokingly argues that the Lilywhites are the ‘wrong team’.
“I just spoke to him a few hours ago, he's so happy to be in England and of course we're going to help him,” Drogba told Sky Sports.
“He's my younger brother so I'm going to give him some tips.
“He plays for the wrong team, but I'm happy for him, very happy for his move."
Aurier will look to feature for Spurs when they open their Champions League campaign tonight with a clash at home to Borussia Dortmund.
