Kenya's Harambee Stars will play two international friendly matches in October, 2017.

The Harambee Stars will travel to Asia where they take on Iraq and Thailand during the FIFA international break.

Kenya, who are under the guidance of Stanley Okumbi, will be using the matches as preparation for the 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers and the 2018 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) finals.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) made the announcement on their official website:

"The National Football team, Harambee Stars, is set to play two friendly matches away, against Iraq and Thailand on October 5 and October 8, 2017, respectively.

"The first match against Iraq is set to be played at the Basra Stadium in Iraq while the venue for the second match will be confirmed in due course.

"The friendly matches will be in preparation for the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers and the 2018 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) set to be hosted in Kenya.

"Stars coach Stanley Okumbi is set to name his squad for the two friendly matches when he jets into the country on September 24, 2017. The coach has been in Germany for a month long coaching course," a statement read.
