Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows drew 0-0 in an Absa Premiership match at the FNB Stadium Stadium on Saturday night.
The result sees Amakhosi move to fourth spot on the league log, while Abafana Bes'thende move back to the top of the standings.
Arrows had a chance to break the deadlock just before the half-hour mark, but Siphelele Magubane was denied Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
Chiefs then launched an attack and Gustavo Paez's effort from range was pushed over the crossbar by Arrows keeper Nkosingiphile Gumede.
The score was 0-0 at half-time at half-time following tightly contested first-half in the city of Johannesburg.
Arrows were the better side in the closing stages of the second-half as they looked to grab a late winning goal.
But Wayde Jooste was briliantly denied by Khune after the Arrows attacking midfielder had unleashed a shot from range.
However, Khune was then injured after denying Arrows striker Knox Mutizwa and he was replaced by Edmore Chirambadare in Chiefs goal.
The Zimbabwean midfielder, who replaced Khune as Amakhosi had used up all allowed substitutions, was not tested by Arrows in the remaining minutes and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
