AmaZulu and Platinum Stars drew 1-1 draw in an Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday night.
As a result, Usuthu climb up to seventh spot on the league standings, while Dikwena remain 16th on the log.
The visitors opened the scoring 20 minutes into the match through their new striker Thabang Sesinyi.
The Botswana international fired past AmaZulu goalkeeper Siyabonga Mbatha to make it 1-0 to Stars.
Stars, who are yet to win an Absa Premiership match this season, were now oozing with confidence as they looked to double their lead.
However, Usuthu were stood firm at the back and the score was 1-0 to Stars at the interval.
A second-half which was dominated by AmaZulu followed, even though, they lost Tapelo Nyongo due to an injury.
The home side were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute and Rhulani Manzini converted from the spot-kick it to make it 1-1.
Usuthu then pushed for the winning goal in the closing stages of the match, but Stars were solid at the back and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
