Kenya head coach Stanley Okumbi has excluded several foreign-based players from the squad that will travel to Asia for friendly matches next month.
The Harambee Stars are scheduled to lock horns with Iraq and Thailand on October 5 and October 8, 2017 respectively in Asia during the the FIFA international break.
Victor Wanyama, Ayub Timbe and Brian Mandela have all been left out of the squad as they are currently out injured, while Belgium-based Johanna Omollo misses out due to club commitments.
According to the Football Kenya Federation, (FKF) due to the KPL fixture congestion, local-based players are set to report to camp on the evening of October 1, 2017, at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies before departure on October 2, 2017. Foreign-based players will link up with the team in Iraq
