Morocco confirmed their bid on Saturday and they have joined Equatorial Guinea as the two countries to submit their bids before the deadline last weekend.

The continental football governing body opened the bids as Kenya was stripped of the right to host after failing to meet the requirements.

Although the successful bid will be announced next weekend, the biennial tournament is set to be staged from January 12 to February 4 next year and is for locally-based players only.
