Cameroon head coach Hugo Broos says his charges showed character against Algeria on Saturday.
The Indomitable Lions secured a 2-0 win over Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification (CAF) Group B match.
Clinton N'Jie and Franck Pangop scored Cameroon's two goals at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé.
Cameroon and Algeria both went into the match having already failed to qualify for the finals.
"Everything is a matter of confidence, even in the big clubs there are moments of decline," Broos told Camer-Sport.
The Belgian tactician was also happy with Pangop's mentality against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
"We were able to show our strength of character. The players have been in solidarity," he said.
"The players have shown that they are a team which is good overall.
"Pangop has shown good things in training. He is okay mentally," he concluded.
Cameroon and Algeria will take on Zambia and Nigeria, who are the group winners, respectively in their last Group B games next month.
