Alex Ngonga not only had to deal with heartbreak following Zambia's defeat to Nigeria, but also news that his house in Kitwe had come under siege from an angry mob of fans.
According to BBC Africa, the forward's house in the copperbelt region was pelted with stones in aftermath of Chipolopolo's loss to the Super Eagles in Uyo. Defeat ended their hopes of reaching the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Namesake, Alex Iwobi, scored the only goal of the game as Nigeria booked their place at next year's showpiece in Russia.

Police arrested five fans for allegedly attacking Ngonga's house with Regional Police Commissioner Charity Katanga quoted as saying:
"We have arrested five people for malicious damage to property and they are detained in police custody."
The fans were reportedly left fuming at Ngonga, blaming Zambia's failure on the 25-year-old who squandered several goal-scoring opportunities throughout the encounter.
