With Egypt set to participate at the 2018 CAF African Nations Championship in Morocco, Egyptian Football Association's member Karam Kordy is against the decision.
Kordy says their participation at the tournament will complicate their preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The decision comes after CAF announced on Sunday that Morocco have replaced Kenya as hosts of the 2018 CHAN tournament.

Following the announcement, Egypt, who were beaten by Morocco in the Northern Zone play-offs, have now qualified for the tournament which allows the participation of locally-based players.
“We don’t want problems with clubs presidents as they will use this tournament to blame us for any bad results,” Kordy said in radio comments.
“As for the second option, if there are no fines imposed on teams that withdraw from the tournament, I am against participating in CHAN.
“Taking part in this competition will leave us in a complicated situation especially that we have a chance to perform well in the World Cup.”
