Mohamed Salah grabbed a brace as Liverpool ran rampant in Slovenia on Tuesday evening, downing Maribor 7-0 to move top of UEFA Champions League Group E.

The Egyptian also set up the first as Jurgen Klopp's men showed their intent, having failed to break down a stubborn Manchester United outfit over this past weekend.

Salah, 25, is an important cog in Klopp's machine with Sadio Mane ruled out of action having picked up a hamstring injury in Senegal's FIFA World Cup qualifier away to Cape Verde earlier this month.

It has been a memorable period for Salah, who's two goals against Congo sent the Pharaohs to the World Cup for the first time since 1990.
