English Premier League (EPL) side Stoke City has paid the last installment to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
City signed the 20-year-old midfielder from Al Ahly on 25 July 2016 and the deal was said to be worth £5 million.
However, Sobhi's agent Nader Shawky has disclosed that Al Ahly are yet to receive the last installment.
Record eight-time African champions Al Ahly haven’t received it yet because they have some legal issues.
“Stoke City paid the last installment to Al Ahly on time," Shawky told King Fut.
"Al Ahly however was not able to receive the money due to the pending case they currently have following a dispute with the company that used to run the club’s TV channel,” he concluded.
The midfielder has made five league appearances for City this season.
