Uganda's interim coach Moses Basena says coaching the Cranes has been an honour and hopes he will be handed the reins on a full time basis.
Basena's mandate as interim coach is set to end after the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers final match against Congo early next month.
Meanwhile the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations has opened a global search for a permanent coach that will take the Cranes to another level.

The FA has roped in Zambian legend Kalusha Bwalya to help in the recruitment of Cranes coach as the FA could be trying to show how that national team stakes have risen.
"To coach Uganda Cranes is an honour that brings the best out of you. I have enjoyed my time hope it continues," said Basena.
