Despite leading the Tunisian giants Etoile Sportive du Sahel to the CAF Champions League semifinals, coach Hubert Velud has been sacked by the club.
Sahel made the decision after the club lost 6-2 (7-4 aggregate) in the second leg in Alexandria on Sunday as they crashed out of the tournament.
The 58-year-old watched in horror as the Cairo giants ripped them apart at the Borg El Arab Stadium to reach the finals for the first time since 2013.

Before leading Etoile, Velud coached the Democratic Republic of Congo side TP Mazembe for a season and lifted the CAF Confederations Cup last year.
The French-born ex-goalkeeper was shown the door earlier this year for failing to qualify the Ravens to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
