Al Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry says he is often compared to Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola because of his tactics.
The Egyptian mentor has led the Red Devils to the 2017 CAF Champions League final after beating Etoile Sportive du Sahel 7-4 on aggregate in the two leg semifinal.
El-Badry mentioned that he is aware of being compared to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich mentor, Guardiola.
Additionally, as they are close to bagging their ninth continental trophy, El-Badry spoke of his admiration for Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane and former Bayern boss, Carlo Ancelotti.
“I forgot to mention Guardiola, he is surely one of the best coaches in the world right now,” said El-Badry.
“Actually some people compare me to Guardiola, because of our similar style of play, mainly depending on ball possession.”
Al Ahly will host Wydad Casablanca on Saturday, October 28 in the CAF Champions League final, before travelling to face them in Morocco a week later.
