Ghana international Andre Ayew is ready to lead West Ham United's charge following his midweek heroics in the Carabao Cup.

The 27-year-old was at the double as Slaven Bilic's men secured a memorable 3-2 come-from-behind win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium.

Having contributed in wins over Cheltenham Town and Bolton, Ayew was at it again as he staked his claim for a starting birth in the Hammers English Premier League showdown against Crystal Palace this weekend.

With pressure mounting on West Ham United head coach, Bilic, following the club's stuttering start to the league season - Ayew is ready to help save the Croatian's job.

“When you are at a club like West Ham and the results are difficult, the manager is under pressure for sure,” Ayew is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

“But so are the players. We have to keep working hard and the manager knows the players are behind him. We will give everything we can.

“Not only for the manager but for ourselves too. We have to wear the shirt with a lot of pride. There is a fighting spirit," he concluded.
