Algerian international Yacine Brahimi has dedicated his Player of the Year award at Porto to his mother.
The Fennec Foxes attacker was handed his prize by new Algerian national team coach - and Porto legend - Rabah Madjer earlier this week.
After a tricky start to last season, Brahimi settled back into the Porto line-up and re-established himself as a key figure in the team.
This season he has been particularly excellent, leading Porto to a strong start to the campaign which sees them leading the pack in Portugal’s Primeira Liga.
"Thank you all already. It is a great honor for me to receive this Gold Dragon Trophy,” said Brahimi.
“It's a pride, but it's thanks to my teammates, because without them I would not have won this trophy.
“I thank the president, all the present and my family who is there in the room. This trophy will give me the strength to keep working and progressing.”
The Algerian star added, "I dedicate this trophy especially to my mother, who is here among us in the room. If I'm here today, it's a little thanks to her.
“I am very proud and I hope that this year we will win the championship. We have to keep working and win our games.”
Brahimi and Porto will look to continue their fine form this season when they play away to Boavista tonight.
